Kane Constructions recently completed the new Headquarters Building for the Special Operations and Logistics Squadron Unit and History Museum at the Holsworthy Army Base in New South Wales.

The project was completed in May and delivered over two stages. Stage 1 involved the design and construction of Building T044 Unit History Facility. The building was transformed from an abandoned office building into a Museum facility to house military displays and memorabilia for the various regiments based at the Holsworthy Army Base. The works involved a complete strip out of the building including the replacement of the roof, new interior finishes utilizing army colours to give it that Army feel. The use of camouflage graphics also follows on with the army theme.

Stage 2 involved the design and construction of a new multi storey office building to be the new home of the Special Operations and Logistics Squadron. The building constructed of concrete and steel frame, metal wall cladding and roofing.  The facility provides the squadron with both closed and open plan office space, a large meeting room with audio visual facilities, new amenities, car parking, kitchen and break out spaces. The building mirrors those within the Tobruk lines SOWA complex with an added touch of colour and space.

The ongoing works for the Department of Defence and Superintendent Coffey Projects highlights the mutual benefits derived from a commitment to building long-term relationships with our clients.  This is evidenced by the $22 million ELF Stage 1 Trainee Rehabilitation Wing project currently under construction by Kane at Holsworthy Army Base.
