Works are progressing ahead of program on the $25m project. With the tower structure now complete, focus has shifted to completion of the multi-deck carpark and rough-in of services and commencement of the facade.

Kane Constructions was awarded the lump sum contract in July with works commencing in earnest in mid-August.

The major expansion, which is being carried out for Healthscope Ltd includes:

• an 18,000m2 multi-level semi-basement car park to accommodate 470 car spaces,
• a new three level hospital wing comprising an additional 66 beds and associated ancillary areas which will be linked to the existing hospital, as well as,
• strata titled consulting suites, retail shells and twelve new sessional rooms.
