Mayor announces start at Trewint

Mayor of Greater Dandenong, Jim Memeti and Alan Griffin, Federal Member for Bruce were present today at the turning of the sod ceremony to mark commencement of construction at Trewint - an $18m residential and community project for Uniting Aged Care Victoria and Tasmania.

Kane Constructions was awarded the contract in late 2009 to construct a new 68 bed facility located at Noble Park. The three level building will be constructed adjacent to an existing facility that will remain occupied. Demolition works have commenced and will be completed in mid-2011.
