Kane Constructions is fast approaching Practical Completion of a very challenging small project in Tasmania. Located approximately 45 minutes south west of Hobart, Fort Direction is now home to an explosive ordinance storage facility.
The apple isle’s justifiably famous scenic coastline provides a stunning backdrop for the new facility which comprises four small buildings and a substantial amount of site infrastructure works.
Site Manager Peter Yates and Contracts Administrator Marcus Byrne have heroically battled the environment for five months to deliver this challenging project. But it hasn't been all work and no play. The guys have managed plenty of fishing - easily accessed from their beach side accommodation. They are now well into the rigorous commissioning phase and on target for a smooth handover. Then it's onto the next exciting Kane project.
